As an As Expert Advisor - Financial Due Diligence, you assist with highly complex strategic initiatives and serve as subject matter leader.
You lead and influence large-scale organizational and market initiatives while liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges. In addition to being the business manager, you represent your specialty on initiatives requiring high-level expertise in a complex field.
You’re responsible for strategic, highly innovative, cross-sector projects and initiatives that are operationally and conceptually complex. They require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. A strategic mindset and organizational savvy are therefore essential. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields.
You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert for senior management and decision-making bodies. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA designation) (an important asset)
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (IBC) (an important asset)
- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Upper intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
