Exterior Construction Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Exterior Construction Manager to oversee the procurement of exterior products, including windows and doors, metal roofing, lumber, and other construction-related materials. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient project execution by managing the ordering process, coordinating with clients to set up jobs, and collaborating with the operations assistant to guarantee the availability of materials on-site. Potential candidates must have a minimum 3 years in the Exterior Construction & window and door industry.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement and Ordering:
• Research, select, and procure Exterior Construction materials, including windows and doors, metal roofing, and lumber, from reputable suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with vendors to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, deliveries, and supplier communications.
• Job Coordination:
• Communicate with customers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Schedule and coordinate job timelines with clients, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and milestones.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
• Material Logistics:
• Collaborate with the operations assistant to plan and coordinate the delivery of materials to project sites.
• Ensure that all necessary materials are on-site in a timely manner to meet project schedules.
• Anticipate potential delays and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Quality Control:
• Monitor the quality and condition of received materials to ensure they meet specified standards.
• Address any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly and effectively.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the operations assistant to streamline communication and ensure a seamless flow of information between procurement and on-site operations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to facilitate efficient project execution.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on Exterior Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Exterior Construction materials, including windows and doors, metal roofing, and lumber.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
