Extraction Technician

Reporting to the Extraction Lead, the Extraction Technician is responsible for the extraction of cannabis derivatives as well as properly operating and maintaining extraction and processing equipment while ensuring protocols are strictly followed. It will also be the responsibility of the Extraction Technician to ensure that paperwork has been filled out timely and accurately. The Extraction Technician is detailed oriented, task-focused and reliably achieves production targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Takes care to produce high quality and clean extracts and finished products.

· Sanitation of extraction and processing equipment and rooms.

· Records data accurately, and on time, into batch production records.

· Understands manufacturing process flows

· Strictly adheres to all Health and Safety policies and orders from the JHSC

· Maintain inventory records of materials used during the production process.(ie compounds)

· Follows chain of command showing respect to other peers and Lead Hands when communicating

· Read and have a thorough understanding of equipment manuals.

· Works safely with hazardous chemicals.

· Meets production targets as determined by the organization.

· Maintains compliance with quality assurance and Health Canada regulations.

· Strictly adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) required.

All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

· Working knowledge and experience in machinery and tools.

- Experience in High Pressure systems is an asset.

· Demonstrated experience working in a Good Production Practice (GPP) and working under GMP regulations.

· Experience working with hand tools and extraction equipment.

· Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, or late afternoons.

· Must be able to safely lift 30 pounds.

· Comfortable standing for prolonged periods of time.
