Fabrication Breakdown Drafter

RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

· Operate a CAD workstation to develop fabrication and production layouts

· Analyze design drawings, specifications, notes and other material to determine the best approach to complete layouts

· Work with programs such as AutoCAD software

· Read and interpret architectural drawings

· Develop fabrication drawings from site measurements and approved shop drawings

· Check and verify design drawings to adhere to specifications and design data

· Check and verify the design of 2D drawings and 3D models

· Work independently and in a team environment from concept to completion

· Know the product lines of various door, window and curtain wall producers

· Any other reasonable, lawful requirement of Employer

QUALIFICATIONS

· College Diploma or equivalent experience required

· 2+ years as architectural technologist in façade industry

· Experience working in the window wall, curtain wall a must and railing industry an asset

· Experience creating detailed and complete shop drawings

· Knowledge of AutoCAD

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to produce accurate work with a high attention to detail on time and budget
