Form of workReporting to the Project Director, the Coordinator, Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for the management, supervision, administration, and maintenance required for all the Teck Sparwood, Elkford, Fernie, Blairmore and other area office buildings and assets including the management and coordination of the Business Unit access control security system processes, maintenance, and technical requirements. The successful candidate will also supervise the facilities administrative assistants and other contractors to support them in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Plan, schedule and execute all activities, internal to and external to, the properties owned and leased by Teck, including maintenance, repairs and upkeep as well as lawn care, snow removal, HVAC, and plumbing
- Coordinate and project supervision, management of renovation, maintenance requirements and building projects, up to ~$1 million; including preparing scopes of work, coordinating contractor activities, work with supply chain, which include safety onboarding, timelines, cost review, project inspection and close out
- Supervise, and administrate all of Teck's facilities year-round building maintenance requirements, budget preparation, forecast and funding request
- Develop a proactive preventative maintenance program for all Teck facilities assets
- Work with all Teck stakeholders to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and cleanliness of all Teck's facilities assets
- Manage issues, identify problem areas, and recommend corrective action and continuous improvement ideas
- Be first contact for all alarm issues with monitoring company and investigate all alarms occurrences
- Coordinate workspace allocation for all Sparwood facilities
- Develop Operation readiness plan for new office building
- Supervise administrative assistance workload for facilities
- Provide weekly reports on work progress and deliverable status
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or a combination of relevant schooling with ~7 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance and supervision, and administration of buildings and large housing facilities
- Small project management experience
- General knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite®, such as Outlook, Office, and Excel
- Be knowledge and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of BC and environmental standards
- Experience with HVAC, Hazardous Materials, such as Asbestos and Lead, would be an asset

Salary Range: $80,000 - $99,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
