Facilities Project Manager

• Job Title: Project Manager - Facilities
• Job Type: 4-month contract (high possibility of extension)
• Location: 300 Prince Philip Dr, St. John's, NL A1B 3V6
• Hours/week: 37.5
• Rate: $80/hr Inc.

Position Overview:

The work involves a variety of facilities improvement work such as electrical projects for datacenter, room re-allocation (e.g. storeroom converted to patient room), and other miscellaneous projects as directed by the Director of Infrastructure (The client leader). Other projects include AC sub-station 2 to sub-station 3 electrical installation and other various building infrastructure changes around the facilities as directed by the client

Responsibilities:

• Project Management duties to include planning, site surveys, scheduling, coordinating, facilitating meetings with external contractors, report writing, status reporting.
• Deliverables include reports, surveys and spreadsheets, plans, status updates, schedules, minutes of meetings, administrative outputs.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Engineering/technologist certification or experience + PMP or GSC (combination of extensive experience may also be considered in lieu)
• Minimum 5 years of Project Management in a building facilities capacity required
• Candidates should have facilities, engineering, technologist, buildings management, contracting/construction type background.
• Must be a self-starter able to work well independently
• Nice-to-have Skills/Experience:
• Experience in building construction / renovation
• Experience in healthcare Facilities Projects
• Experience in electrical engineering or certification
• Experience in facility space planning

Salary: $80.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Project management: 5 years (preferred)
• voltage power provisioning: 5 years (preferred)
• Facilities Project management: 5 years (preferred)
• Data center: 5 years (preferred)
