The Facilities Support Handwill be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting the various operations of Gibbons Motor Toys. This will include assisting the Sales Department with unit detailing, as well as assisting in the upkeep of the facilities. Daily work will be executed closely with the overall operation of Gibbons Motor Toys to help keep business running smoothly by maintaining high productivity and organization.
Key responsibilities involve maintaining yard appearance including washing boats and picking up debris, cleaning the shop, full unit detailing, and helping to maintain a safe work environment for everyone. This position provides strong support to the Facilities Manager wherever needed to help them achieve their objectives. It requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative. There is also potential for advancement for someone who shows ability and desire for powersports and marine service repair.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales Department Support
- Prepare new units for delivery by washing, inspecting, and parking in delivery location
- Full unit detailing and parking of ATVs and SSVs when directed
- Assist in unloading and loading incoming and outgoing shipments
- Create a solid first impression and commitment to GMT’s superior customer service by acknowledging all customers in a prompt and professional manner
- Effectively handle customer complaints and concerns calmly and confidently while upholding GMT’s high standards in customer service and satisfaction
Yard, Shop, and Building Maintenance
- Assist Facilities Manager in maintaining yard appearance and organization by picking up litter and debris, shovelling snow, picking weeds, etc.
- Perform regular boat cleanup to ensure product for sale is professionally displayed
- Provide support to maintaining an orderly shop when help is needed
- Complete daily / weekly tasks to ensure facilities always remain clean and organized
- Assist with shop / showroom upgrades and maintenance where required
- Other building maintenance and general labour duties as required
Safety & Process Improvements
- Follow all safety protocols as per GMT’s Occupational Health & Safety program
- Effectively assist with implementing and supporting improvements to processes and cost reduction
- Strive to continuously increase product knowledge and remain up to date on all new products related to the marine and powersports industry
Professional and Personal Development and Improvement
- Share in the team culture of continuous professional and self improvement
- Actively participate in all performance planning exercises and peer feedback requests
- Be accountable and strive to lead by example, regardless of employment capacity or role
- Remain informed on and follow all applicable company policies
Educational and experience requirements include:
- High attention to detail and organization
- Prior experience in yard / shop operations is considered an asset
- Proven ability to take direction from superiors and follow written and verbal instruction
- Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and consistently meet work schedules and customer deadlines
- Ability to meet all physical requirements of the job including lifting 50 lbs
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual and a self-starter with strong work ethic
