Farmers Market Assistant

Join a diverse cow calf operation located in the Rainy River District in Northwestern, Ontario during our busy farmers’ market season. Cornell Farms has been in operation for six generations and has multiple enterprises including purebred breeding stock, direct to consumer meat sales and cash crops. We value regenerative agriculture practices such as rotational grazing strategies while always working to better our land and our beef products. You will be joining a family team with a fun outlook on getting the job done together! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who loves interacting with customers and is passionate about working in a team-oriented environment. The Rainy River District boasts fantastic outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, hunting, watersports and many recreational sports leagues. Responsibilities:

· Pricing meat products and maintaining inventory system

· Travelling to regional farmers’ markets with owner

· Picking up and delivering meat orders

· Cutting grass

Qualifications:

· High School or University enrollment

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Comfortable working in cold freezers or coolers

· Ability to work extended hours on market days

· Driver’s License, asset but not required
