What you’ll do:

The successful candidate is responsible for the daily operation, management, and profitability of the Feed Department based out of Neerlandia, AB. Core duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Building strong customer relationships by delivering solutions and monitoring client satisfaction levels, ensuring customer issues are resolved, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Creating a customer contact plan with the goal of developing “trusted advisor” relationships with key and potential customers.
  • Setting budget goals and leading the achievement of financial results in the areas of sales, margins, inventory control, and expenses within established timelines.
  • Leading the Feed Team through recruitment, goal setting, performance management, and the training & development of team members while fostering a positive work environment with engaged team members.
  • Overseeing adherence to brand and merchandising standards.
  • Ensuring the execution and follow through of all safety policies and programs as they relate to the Feed Department.
  • Participating in the senior leadership of the Neerlandia Co-op, coordinating efforts in meeting corporate goals as established by the board of directors and management.
  • Other tasks as required.

Who you are:

  • Possess a post-secondary education – Bachelor of Science with a focus in animal health or nutrition preferred.
  • Have 5+ years of relevant customer service, sales, and management experience.
