Fertilizer/Sprayer Operator Applicator

Lucknow District Co-operative is currently seeking a Fertilizer/Sprayer Operator Applicator.

Reporting to the Agronomy & General Manager, the successful applicant would be accountable for operating and servicing custom application equipment and accurately apply crop protection products and crop nutrients.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the application of crop protection and dry/liquid fertilizer products

Complete necessary paperwork; logbook, and any other required record keeping

Ensure application is made in a timely manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism

Demonstrate ability to read maps, work orders, follow specific delivery directions and instructions

Operate application equipment to apply crop protection products.

Responsible for the safe handling of chemicals within the guidelines of the label instructions, using basic computer and math skills.

Maintain equipment to ensure safe and accurate application

General yard and equipment maintenance and other duties around the yard as required.

Candidate will possess or be willing to achieve the following qualifications:

Good mechanical skills, working knowledge to be able to operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles

A high school diploma or a minimum of two years of experience in agriculture

Ability to work independently on assignments

Valid drivers license (DZ or AZ an asset)

A high degree of problem-solving ability is required

Follow plant and company procedures

Lucknow Co-op will aid and assist in acquiring any necessary licenses and training (Exterminator's, DZ Licence)

Must be flexible with your schedule as more hours will be expected during peak seasons including evenings and weekends
