Field Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Field Operator for a long-term contract position with a reputable oil and gas company in Drayton Valley, AB. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the company's gas wells and facilities, ensuring optimal mechanical, instrumentation, and facility performance. Managing day-to-day operations of wells, pipelines, multi-well batteries, field booster compressors, and sour gas facilities will be a key focus. If you possess previous field operating experience and reside in the Drayton Valley/Lodgepole area, this opportunity is tailored for you.

• Location: Drayton Valley, AB

• Shifts: 8 Days on, 6 Days off |10 hrs/day

• Job type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and comply with client's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System

• Prioritize HSE in all activities and report unsafe acts/conditions for corrective actions

• Operate and troubleshoot Pump jacks, knowledge of pump off controllers (POCs)

• Maintain accounting books and support the Management of Change (MOC) system

• Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring, and maintenance activities

• Meet all Operator roles and responsibilities as per client document

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• Must reside in the Drayton Valley/Lodgepole area

• Willingness to respond to callouts as required

• High school diploma / GED is required

• Previous Field operating experience is essential

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License (driver’s abstract required)

• Possession of valid safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS, and H2S certifications)

• Proficiency in computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP)

• Strong work ethic and troubleshooting skills

• Effective collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to champion change

• Safety-sensitive position, subject to Client Alcohol and Drug policy, including pre-assignment testing

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
