Field Survey Technician

Vistech Design and Construction is looking for Full time Field Survey Technicians, to apply to our field department. Candidates would be responsible for taking field measurements and returning results in Digital Format. Site work is required in Grey / Bruce Counties. Ontario.

This position is remote and requires close interaction with designers, managers, and clients to ensure the timely and accurate completion of project cycles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtain field measurements within the entire ROW of any above ground infrastructure, and chamber Lids.
• Locate Property bars
• Transfer measurements to basic software while in the field.
• Interact with municipalities, construction contractors, and customers.
• Projects will include obtaining measurements in Rural area's, potentially along busy roads. Measurements will also involve work within Railway Corridors, and wetlands such as creeks and rivers and bridges.
• Review and resolve Designer questions or utility clearance conflicts.
• Perform other tasks as requested by your manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post Secondary education or certificate.
• Class G License
• Own Vehicle (mileage will be provided)
• Cell Phone with Data (Data allowance will be provided)
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions
• Previous field experience will be an asset.
• Experience with Client / Customer interaction is preferred.
• Strong, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Team player
• Fluent in the English language, both written and oral
