FILE OPENING COORDINATOR - PEI | Charlottetown, PE

Our Charlottetown Office has an immediate opening for a File Opening Coordinator. This position is permanent full time.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in identifying possible conflicts by conducting thorough conflict checks;
  • Revise and sends out New Case Report;
  • File management, applies any necessary changes and updates spreadsheet;
  • Open client files once conflict search is complete;
  • Assist with overflow when required and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures;
  • All tasks must be performed with a high degree of detail and accuracy; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent proficiency in English, verbal and written communication;
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a professional office environment;
  • Office Administration, Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset;
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing skills;
  • Excellent proofreading, spelling and grammar skills;
  • Attention to detail is a must as well as strong organization and time management skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, as well as multi-task as needed; and
  • Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience.
