Position Summary
The role of the Finance Bookeeper is to assist Graham & Graham Group with overseeing financial data and maintaining accounts payable and receivable, daily financial entries and reconciliations within Graham and Graham Group both manually and computerized.
Overall Role
Under the direct supervision of the CEO’s, the Finance Bookkeeper’s role is to maintain a complete and organized set of books, keep accurate records of financial transactions, and to provide bookkeeping operations under Graham & Graham Group.
GENERAL DUTIES
Support the ongoing Financial opportunities and operations for Graham & Graham Group.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
The following is a list of key specific duties and responsibilities of the Financial Bookkeeper:
· Consistently maintain and balance various accounts within the Graham and Graham Group.
· Assists CEO’s with ensuring financial purchases and inventory are staying within budget
· Work with First Nations directly to assist with Financial Bookkeeping.
· Calculate and prepare cheques whenever needed
· Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports
· Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledgers
· Record the day to day financial transactions
· Supporting Graham and Graham Group where required, i.e., running errands, coverage, delivery, purchases etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following:
· Should hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or Finance
· Other post-secondary degrees/diplomas will be considered.
· Significant experience in the field of customer/client service and/or business will be considered in lieu of a post-secondary degree/diploma.
· Strong communication, English, and mathematical skills are required.
· Strong planning and organizination skills are required.
· Knowledge of Anishinaabe language, culture, and traditions would be considered an asset.
· Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check is required.
· Possess the ability to manage a reasonable workload; effective priority-setting and follow-up.
· Possess the ability to establish and maintain appropriate working rapport with others.
· Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable.
· Have a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle, and willingness to travel.
