Finance/Admin Assistant

Juniper Centre Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, qualified individual for the position of Finance/Admin Assistant. Under the direction of the CFO, this position will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts payable/receivable
- Maintain/update current filing system
- Petty cash
- Bank runs and other errands as assigned
- Payroll when required
- Vehicle maintenance tracking
- Hall rental inquiries
- Assist in agency fundraising
- Work collaboratively with in CBA
- Support a management team of 8
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently while working as part of a team
- The ability to multi-task while being highly detail oriented
- Posses strong written and verbal communication
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Reliable
Education and Experience
- Post -secondary education in office administration and accounting
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
- Proficient computer skills including: Sage 50, Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel and Outlook
- An understanding of Northern culture
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
Pre-requisite qualification
- Must provide a clear criminal record check and adult abuse registry check
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and use of personal vehicle
- Current emergency First Aid or ability to complete within 2 months
- Ability to handle (but not limited to) repetitive office work and lifting/carrying office equipment/supplies
Hours: 40 per week
Work term: Permanent
Salary: Dependent upon qualifications/experience.
