Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. You will be servicing and recharging Fire Extinguishers , first aid kits, fall arrest equipment, personal gas monitors, etc. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
A clean BC drivers licence is required with abstract.
Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols and best practices
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety
- Fabricate safety equipment or devices as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment for fabricating safety devices
