Position Summary
Reporting to the First-Generation Program Administrator, the First Generation Program Post-graduate Intern will develop and deliver First Generation and low-income student programming. Working closely with other Student Affairs departments and academic faculty, the Post-graduate Intern will support existing programming and help build new initiatives, including a professional closet, professionalization workshops, and transitional support for graduating students. This position pays $19.55/hr for 35 hours/week, and runs from August 1, 2024 to April 12, 2025. This is a hybrid position.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant university stakeholders
  • Support existing First Generation and low-income programs
  • Hands-on development of programming to support First Generation and low-income students
  • Mentor students
  • Support the First Gen Den student club
  • Collect and analyze program data, and report on programming goals, achievements, and recommendations

Qualifications/skills

  • Recently graduated (ideally within the past 3 years) first-generation Mount Allison University student
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in project development and team leadership
  • Experience in data collection and analysis
