Duties
- Provide flight instruction to students in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and company policies to meet and exceed industry standards.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and training materials for various flight maneuvers and procedures.
- Conduct ground school instruction on topics such as aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, and weather.
- Supervise and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols to maintain a safe learning environment with emphasis on pilot decision making and crew resource management.
Skills
- Excellent organizational skills to track student progress, and maintain accurate records.
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive learning experience for students.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for effective instruction and communication with students.
- Solid math skills for calculating aircraft performance, weight and balance, fuel consumption and logbooks.
- Mechanical knowledge of aircraft systems and components beneficial for troubleshooting and maintenance support.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation for part time or full time employee or contract positions.
- Base pay $20-$40/hour and flight pay $25-$50/hour.
- Travel expenses at $30/day food and $.50/km milage.
- Travel coverage maximum 400 km per week.
- Milage and food expenses only covered for Travel, no base hourly.
- Crew house accommodations provided for Travel instructors.
- Home base within 75 km of CEG3 no expenses covered, higher base rate to live local.
- Any non-revenue positioning or maintenance flights will be paid at a rate of 50% of your revenue hourly flight rate on top of the base hourly rate.
