Floor Cutter (Outside Position)

Truss Fab Inc. is looking for a Floor Cutter (Outside Position) for immediate hire. This position is from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.

Rate of Pay: $17.50 to $20.00 per hour. (Dependent on Experience)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures delivered products are loaded and unloaded following all safe work requirements;
• Measure and cut lengths of material, using a chainsaw following all safe work requirements;
• Band materials as per orders;
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly yard as directed;
• Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service;
• Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
• Forklift Licence desired (but not required)- In house training/testing provided;
• Experience with chainsaws, strappers, and tape measure is an asset;
• Ability to perform alone at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.
• Access to a reliable vehicle, as this is a non-bus route.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
• Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
• Busy, high-volume environment.
