FOH staff/ Barista

FOH/Barista Job Description

- Run POS/cash transactions

- Know or have the ability to learn how to use a commercial espresso machine and produce

specialty beverages

- Set up and manage pastry display during shift

- Preparing packaging/packagin product for service

- Cleaning and organizing FOH before and after shift

- Restocking merchandise

- Learn about retail products we sell

- Knowing menu items, specials

- Plesant and engaging when communicating with guests and coworkers

- Sense of urgency in order to give quick and efficient service

- Happy to learn some food assembly such as sandwiches to provide backup to other staff

- work with predominantly raw ingredients, local where possible

Skills + Requirements

- Experience working in food service strongly preferred

- Excellent customer service or an interest in learning how to provide excellent service

- Barista experience bonus but not necessary

- Food production also a bonus but not necessary

- Willingness to learn about food, food production, ingredients, and be cognizent of allergens - Able to work quickly/Sense of urgency, especially when it is busy

- Able to communicate problems/concerns and ask questions

- Shifts 8am - 5pm Thursday/Friday, 8-4pm Saturday/Sunday, additional hours possible

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.50-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
