- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting food items.
- Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and food processors.
- Wrap prepared food items securely and neatly for take-out orders, ensuring proper packaging to maintain freshness and prevent leakage.
- Place prepared food directly on plates for service to patrons, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing as needed.
- Operate specialized equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea specialties, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup.
- Stock food and beverage supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels.
- Keep accurate records of the quantities of food used for stocking refrigerators and salad bars, including tracking expiration dates and discarding expired items.
- Handle cash and card transactions, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a fast-paced and organized work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and countertops.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage of perishable items.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding food handling, safety, and customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
