Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Prepare all required fresh toppings by washing and chopping vegetables, and possibly cutting meat
- Undertake basic cooking duties
- Prepare simple dishes for display
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements Proven experience as prep cook
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school is an asset
Key Requirements:
- Experience in Fast-Food service restaurant is desired
- Positive energy
- Organized and able to multi task
- Spanish Speaking is preferred but not necessary.
- Task-driven individual
- This role effectively keeps the flow of the restaurant moving smoothly by maintaining clear communication and teamwork.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $16.55-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
