Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced Food Safety & Compliance Coordinatorto join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to Quality & Compliance Manager, the function of the Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator is to compile, verify and audit information based on certification requirements. The Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator must also collect and maintain internal and external documents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in preparing Color Ad for external audits by preparing documentation, performing internal inspections, and makes preparations for external certifications.
• Verifies compliance to audit certification requirements by conducting internal audits.
• Conducts internal GMP, Food Safety, Compliance and Health & Safety audits according to standard requirements.
• Performs random inspections of various processes in different departments.
• Coordinates and maintains NCR’s and response timelines.
• Verifies / validates preventive actions.
• Maintains the NCR database.
• Assists in monitoring and maintaining of Color Ad GMP’s.
• Verifies compliance to Coor Ad GMP’s and communicates variances.
• Adheres to all requirements of Color Ad’s Food Safety Program. Reports any issues noticed to a member of the Food Safety Team.
• Maintains Color Ad’s HACCP program and makes revisions as required.
• Maintains Color Ad’s Food Safety system and works on continuous improvements to the system.
• Will be the Deputy PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) for Color Ad’s SQF program.
• Adheres to all requirements of Color Ad’s Food Safety Program. Reports any issues noticed to a member of the Food Safety Team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Epicor is an asset.
• Food Safety / Food Science education or related experience is an asset
• Preferred prior experience with HACCP or other Food Safety standards
• Must lead by example when dealing with individuals at all levels in a fair and respectful manner.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

• Physical demand requires no undue fatigue regarding sitting, standing and walking. Work is conducted in a standard office environment.
• Exposure to moderate noise and odor in Production areas of the Plant.
