About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service & Facilities Manager with expertise in managing food, cleaning, and building services to join our team.

As a Food Service & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of our non- process buildings while also managing the Food Service operations in our new commercial cafeteria.

Your role will involve ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment for staff, as well as ensuring that exceptional Food Services is provided to meet the needs of our employees and guests.

The Food Service & Facilities Manager in particular with Food Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities while providing exceptional Food Services to enhance the overall employee experience.

You will use your expertise to:

Facility Management:

  • Develop and implement facility management strategies to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the facilities.
  • Oversee contracts and contractors that perform repairs on the systems, equipment and infrastructure associated to Non Process buildings at LNG Canada site.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective and timely service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of facility supplies and equipment.

Food Services Management:

  • Work with Contract and Procurement team to develop Food Services contract for site..
  • Ensure contractor compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines in food handling and service.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns or feedback related to Food Services.

Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for facility maintenance and Food Services, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
  • Monitor expenses and analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on facility operations, Food Service performance, and budget utilization.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure seamless coordination and support for facility and Food Service needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of quality products and services.
  • Address and resolve any facilities or Food Service-related issues raised by employees, guests, or other stakeholders.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Post secondary degree/diploma in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field equivalent years of experience will be considered.
  • 8 years of proven experience in facility management, preferably with Food Service management experience.
  • Contract management experience is essential.
  • Experience managing contractor custodial, Food Service professional contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and safety regulations that include food safety.
  • Understanding of Food Service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software and systems for facility and Food Service management.

This role requires that you:

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
  • Live in the beautiful District of Stikine (Kitimat/Terrace).
