SalaryDWB is hiring! We are currently seeking applications for all levels of Forest Technicians in our Williams Lake office. Positions are available for immediate start.
DWB can offer you a solid foundation to launch or grow your forestry career. As these are field positions, you must be ready to show your tough side. You will be working long hours in remote locations, in all weather conditions. The work is physically and mentally demanding, but you will learn a lot about yourself and how to work in a team environment. We promise, working in the field will provide you with stories to share around many campfires!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No experience is necessary to apply; however, applicants with relevant experience will be considered for higher level positions:
- Junior Technician (0-3 years experience) $20-$24/hour
- Technician (3-10 years experience) $24-$29/hour
- Senior Technician (10+ years experience) $28-$34/hour
- Passion for working outdoors
- Work well on a team
- Safe working mindset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
YOUR ROLE:
- Block boundary and road layout
- Timber reconnaissance
- Timber cruising
- Riparian assessments
- Ecological data collection
- GPS data collection and road traversing
- Engineered Cost Estimates
