FORMWORK CARPENTER | CONCRETE FINISHER

BECL is currently offering year-round and seasonal employment complete with competitive wages and benefit package for full-time Formwork Carpenters | Concrete Finishers for the upcoming 2024 construction season.

Wages:

• Hourly rate up to $35 per hour, with overtime after 8-hours per day.
• Wage is negotiable based on level of experience and accreditation.
• Company benefits available after a 3-month probation period.
• Travel allowance available for candidates outside of the Bow Valley area.

Potential candidate requisites are:

• Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• CSA Certified safety boots.
• CSTS Certification or equivalent is an asset.
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience operating equipment in construction setting.
• Tools and tool belt.
• Positive attitude with an attention to safety.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and also be self-motivated as an individual.
• Have garments available to match variable weather (rain, cold and hot conditions).

Duties for Formwork Carpenters | Concrete Finishers include, but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and complete layouts in conformance with drawings and specifications.
• Formwork, various carpenter duties, and rebar installation.
• Place and finish concrete flat work, such as slabs, curbs, sidewalks, foundation footings and walls.
• Slab finish with power trowel.

Work Conditions:

• 40-55+ Hours per week. 5 Days a week with the occasional Saturday.
• Expected start date: April 1, 2024.
