Strive Living Society is actively seeking compassionate individuals to become skilled Foster Care Family Providers in the Okanagan area, offering care within the comfort of their own homes.
As a Foster Parent, you play a crucial role in meeting a child's day-to-day needs and nurturing their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and cultural well-being. When children cannot reside with their birth family, foster families step in to provide a supportive and nurturing alternative home. Foster families create healthy, trauma-informed home environments, supporting infants, children, and youth to reach developmental milestones and facilitating their eventual transition back to their family home, independence, or other permanent living arrangements. Join us in making a positive impact on a child's life!
Our foster care families offer specialized care to children or youth who may have:
- Physical or developmental delays
- Medical needs
- Mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Experience with drug and alcohol use or legal trouble
