STATUS: FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. 15 MONTHS)

Reporting to the CEO, the Foundation Associate is responsible for processing all donations and preparing thank-you letters and tax receipts; it is imperative work is completed in an accurate timely manner errors can have detrimental impact on the Foundation. The Foundation Associate has a professional customer service orientation to represent the Foundation and liaise with our donors, supporters, public, staff, visitors and Board and committee members. The Foundation Associate has revenue generating responsibilities including the Hospital Family program and the vendor program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

• Successful completion of a post-secondary office administration program, and three to five years administrative experience at a senior level.
• Ability to produce accurate, timely and effective minutes and action summaries.
• Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
• Knowledge of the principles of effective customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, with a professional and welcoming manner.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a small team.
• Excellent (intermediate to advanced level) computer skills including ability in Excel, Word, and Internet based applications, to be tested.
• Keyboarding skills minimum 60 words per minute, to be tested
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the Corporation and its operating system is an asset.
• Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, or other donor database is an asset.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to effectively maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple demands and complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Satisfactory attendance and performance.
