Based in Mississauga, a group of companies (No Sugar Company, Joyburst, and Wellnx Life Sciences Inc.) in the consumer-packaged goods industry that prides themselves on innovation and food sciences, with its brands distributed in major retailers throughout the US and Canada is looking for a Freight Claims & Retail Deduction Coordinator.

The Freight Claims & Retail Deduction Coordinator will oversee and investigate the validity and the legitimacy of claims received from customers and brokers. The coordinator will verify the accuracy of invoiced amounts and deductions taken. The coordinator will be the liaison between numerous internal departments, including sales, customer service, accounts payable, logistics and operations. The coordinator will obtain all necessary paperwork to support or deny claims submitted and monitor progress of the resolutions. They will compile and analyze data related to claims including tracking trends, noting patterns, and watching to detect any irregularities.

The Freight Claims & Retail Deduction Coordinator typically should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting and be detail oriented and analytically driven. The coordinator must have excellent computer skills, including familiarity with claims processing programs and accounting or record-keeping software.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Establish and maintain the claims and deduction procedures and processes. Take ownership of this process to build a workflow and achieve an increase claim success rate
• Work closely with the Sales, AR and Logistics teams to Investigate all customer/broker claims and deductions taken
• Initiate Freight Claims and determine root cause when necessary
• Review process and costs related to customer damage claims and efficiently file claims to recover deductions
• Maintain all claim and deduction related information to ensure accuracy of claim and to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers, brokers
• Oversee claim and deduction inquiries from internal departments and respond appropriately as needed.
• Prepare reports and analysis on claims and deductions as requested

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
• Excellent command of English language with strong communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• 1-2 years experience processing claims. Retail claims experience preferred
• Requires careful attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Able to multitask and prioritize.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
