French Immersion Teachers Elementary (Primary grades K-3; and Intermediate grades 4-7)Secondary (Grades 8 - 12)Burnaby School District invites applications from qualified French Immersion teachers for full-time and part-time contracts, TTOCs. The Burnaby School District is the fourth largest in BC. Our District operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, including a range of district programs and Provincial Resource Programs. The district also provides lifelong learning opportunities to more than 16,000 adult learners through our established Burnaby Community & Continuing Education program.Burnaby School District invites applications for Teachers Teaching-On-Call to be part of a team striving to engage and empower a caring, inclusive community of learners for the opportunities of today and tomorrow.Required Qualifications: Valid BC Teaching Certificate Practicum reports and/or teacher evaluations (if available) Successful completion of Criminal Records Search as carried out through the Ministry of Education Teachers’ Regulation Branch Knowledge of a broad range of effective instructional strategies in order to meet the diverse needs of all students Knowledge of consultative and collaborative strategies Additional qualifications for both Elementary and Secondary: Elementary: Bachelor of Education degree or academic equivalent Demonstrated fluency and facility (both oral and written) in French and English French Immersion methodology course Major program concentration in the relevant area of primary or intermediate education including primary or intermediate methodology courses Secondary: Bachelor of Education degree or academic equivalent Demonstrated fluency and facility (both oral and written) in French and English Subject speciality methodology course Location(s): Locations will vary throughout the district based on vacancy. There are 9 Elementary schools that teach French Immersion: Armstrong; Aubrey, Brantford, Cascade Heights, Inman, Marlborough, Seaforth, Sperling and Westridge. There are 3 Secondary schools that teach French Immersion: Alpha, Cariboo Hill and Moscrop. Salary and Benefits: Salary rate from $57,972 to $106,626 will be determined by years of experience as per the Teachers’ Provincial Collective Agreement. TTOC Salary Range: $57,972 to $95,228 per annum based on Teachers’ Salary Grid Upon hire, opportunity to sign up for benefits as per the Teachers’ Provincial Collective Agreement. How much you pay for your benefits will be determined by the position you have and the fte (full time equivalent).
