Snapshot of the Position
We are seeking a skilled individual with a passion for food. The responsibilities of this position would involve the operations of the Fresh Departments (Produce, Meat, Deli & Seafood).
Key Responsibilities
- Creating displays
- Trimming, crisping, rotation, preparation, and packaging of produce
- Stocking display tables, coolers, etc.
- Cutting, wrapping, and labeling seafood & meat products
- Frequent lifting of up to 45lb
- Unloading and receiving freight
- Cleaning and sanitizing the work area
- Ensuring customer service is provided
- Other tasks as required within these departments, as directed by management
What We Are Looking For
Previous food retail experience is not essential but preferred.
Strong customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 30 kg is a definite asset
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
Hours of Work
25-29 hours per week; daytime, evenings, and weekends
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $15.00-$15.60 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
Day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Shift:
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
Ability to Relocate:
- St. John'S, NL A1A 1C2: Relocate before starting work (required)
