Please Note: Cutting skills are not required in our Meat Department. Candidates with previous Deli Department experience are also encouraged to apply.**

The Fresh Department Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Job Description

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
• Order, receive, organize, rotate, merchandise and present products and stock in accordance with company standards
• Handle and prepare dry, perishable and frozen goods.
• Process and minimize department waste
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements
• Other duties as required

Job Requirements

• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Ability to lift weights up to 40kgs
• Proven ability to carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Use of equipment including box cutters, trimming knives and material handling equipment throughout the store.
• Exposure to cool and cold temperatures while working in perishable departments (Safety equipment provided)
