Job description

Reporting to the Resort Manager, the seasonal Front Desk position will provide customer service and Front Desk administrative support, as well as supporting the Recreation Coordinator in the execution of larger scale activities and events for our seasonal residents. Weekend work is a requirement of this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service:

  • Greet customers in person or over the phone; process emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Answer general questions about the resort and facilities for future customers
  • Be knowledgeable about current activities and events happening in the resort for current customers
  • Quickly respond to customer concerns by communicating with appropriate resort team (resort manager, maintenance, cleaner, pool attendant, as applicable)

Administrative:

  • Process payments as applicable
  • Maintain proper records of all payment transactions
  • End of day reporting as delegated by Property Administrator
  • Proper filing as delegated by the Property Administrator and/or Resort Manager
  • Assist the Resort Manager with creation of monthly resort newsletters
  • Receive deliveries/check mailbox and process mail accordingly
  • Assist Recreation Coordinator in creating activity posters, schedule documents, and other activity specific preparation tasks as needed

Other Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Recreation Coordinator in executing activities and events as required
  • Participate in customer appreciation events as part of the resort team
  • Regular cleaning of the main office, including washroom and kitchen areas
  • Other duties as assigned by the Resort Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous customer service experience considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including outlook, excel and word
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation is essential, public transportation not available for this location
  • Weekend work required; occasional evenings required

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
