Explore your next role:

We have an opening in our Property Maintenance and Equipment (PME) and Airport Services department for a Fuel/Ramp Attendant. This position is responsible for procuring, transferring, and inspecting jet fuel and glycol for North Bay aircraft operations, supplying equipment, and providing baggage handling services for internal and external customers.

Aircraft Fueling

  • Assist with fuel tank and truck inspections daily.
  • Assist with receiving fuel shipments as needed.
  • Assist Lead Hand with external audits as required.
  • Perform walk around daily to inspect equipment for safe use.
  • Support ad hoc customer requests daily.
  • Assist with daily fuel quality testing
  • Perform equipment and assist with fuel maintenance as required.
  • Update electronic records and enter sales as required.

Ground Handling Services

  • Inspect equipment prior to use.
  • Marshall incoming aircraft.
  • Provide baggage handling, GPU service, and baggage/cargo handling.
  • Sanitation of overnight aircraft.
  • Provide lavatory and catering services.
  • Provide wheelchair ramp and air stair services.
  • Overnight preparation and removal of aircraft kits.

Winter Services

  • De-ice aircraft.
  • Provide aircraft cabin heating services utilizing the Herman Nelson unit.
  • Snow removal around parked aircraft on Voyageur apron, fuel farm & hangar doors.
  • Daily glycol quality testing.
  • Fill De-icing truck and monitor inventory of Glycol.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • VOP required will be provided by the Airport.
  • Lift Truck Operator’s Certificate considered an asset; however, training will be provided upon hire.
  • Ability to speak French considered an asset.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Work effectively both in an individual and team environment.

Eligibility:

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
