Position Summary
To primarily act as ambassador for FBCL while collecting tolls and providing courteous customer service and maintaining safe and efficient flow of traffic to make our customers' gateway experience safe, efficient and enjoyable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes high volume of transactions promptly and accurately
- Inspect vehicle visually, determine type and classification
- Collect toll fee using cash or card, perform basic
- Provide excellent customer service
- Provide direction and general information to travellers upon request
- Work under adverse conditions, including weather extremes, hostile and
- Uphold understanding of all services along with updated
- Strictly adheres to procedures and policies
- Regulate traffic flow by holding and releasing traffic at toll booth as traffic dictates
- Direct traffic into specific lanes when necessary according
- Report suspicious activities to shift supervisor
- Assist in turning around trucks and refused entry vehicles
- Remain alert to any potential risk situations
- Provide support to shift supervisor during emergency situations
- Remain composed under pressure
- Complete all other tasks as required.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1 year experience in handling money in a customer facing environment
- Must have the ability to work 12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to maintain self-control
- Must have excellent cash balancing skills
- Must be safety and security minded
- Must be resilient
- Must be reliable
