Homestead Marketplace is hiring a Full-Time Cleaner for our Trenton location.

Homestead Marketplace is looking for a motivated and reliable cleaner to perform general custodial duties (such as cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting) to help keep our store looking its best. We’re offering flexible, full-time hours from Monday to Friday at a competitive hourly wage!

• Motivated and reliable

• Able to work independently
• Able to manage your time appropriately

Your responsibilities in this role:

• Take pride in keeping our store clean and tidy
• Disinfect high traffic showroom surfaces daily
• Clean/disinfect washrooms including stalls, mirrors, walls, toilets, floors, and sinks
• Clean/disinfect staff rooms including sinks, countertops, appliances, and eating areas
• Empty Garbage/Recycling bins
• Dust furniture, appliances, and electronics
• Vacuum/sweep and spot mop floors where applicable
• Clean glass surfaces
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate supply needs
• Practice all Health & Safety procedures and policies

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• WHMIS training is an asset
• An ability to read cleaning instructions
• A level of mathematical skills sufficient to perform calculations such as cleaning fluids ratios
• An ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• A positive attitude and the ability to take initiative

Starting at $18.00/hour
