Casual Employment Opportunity COMPETITION #MLL374/23-24

Reporting to the Supervisor, Technical Services, the Gaming Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all casinos gaming and gaming related equipment to ensure that integrity is maintained. The incumbent is also responsible for gaming device software upgrades, equipment moves, conversions, installations and providing support for slot investigations.

Duties:

  • Respond to operational service calls related to all gaming equipment.
  • Send out all warranty work to appropriate equipment suppliers.
  • Repair and maintain non consumable and gaming related equipment which requires servicing equipment on the gaming floor or in the technical services office.
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance on all gaming and gaming related equipment.
  • Research product information which includes retrieving product schematics from suppliers.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Assist Technical Specialists with gaming machine investigations.
  • Complete special projects such as software upgrades, machine moves, conversions, and new equipment installations.
  • Provide technical support to First Nations Casinos.
  • Complete configuration changes to existing equipment.
  • The incumbent is expected to work at any MBLL or First Nations site as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a recognized electronics program; must possess a certificate/ diploma in electronics.
  • One to two (1 - 2) years prior experience as a bench technician or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License.

  • Ability to work a variety of shifts based on the requirements of a twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) day per week operation.

Secondary Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French/English) language skills.
  • Previous experience in the gaming environment and knowledge of gaming system platforms.
