SalaryDescritpion: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Garden Centre Associate to join our team in Bay Roberts. As a Garden Centre Associate, you will have the opportunity to engage with our community members, offering expert advice and guidance to help them bring their gardening visions to life. From assisting with plant selection to providing tips on garden maintenance, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a smile and provide personalized assistance in selecting plants, tools, and accessories
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Garden Centre, ensuring displays are visually appealing and products are well-stocked
- Care for plants by watering, pruning, and ensuring they are healthy and vibrant
- Respond to customer inquiries, offering knowledgeable advice and resolving any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the Garden Centre
- Ability to lift, bend, sweep, and work outside in various weather conditions, including cold conditions
- All other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience is preferred
- Passion for plants and gardening with a willingness to learn and expand your knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends
