Position Purpose:- Assist customers in selecting plants, flowers, and gardening supplies
- Provide expert advice on plant care, landscaping, and gardening techniques
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Garden Centre
- Water and care for plants to ensure their health and vitality
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for cash handling and sales transactions
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
- Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays and merchandising

Requirements/Qualifications :Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to understand computer software programs, store procedures and policies 1-2 years of prior greenhouse and planting experience is beneficial. Willingness to learn and expand with company developments. Ability to work cooperatively in team atmosphere. Maintain a positive attitude, while executing excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge with plants is an asset.

Duties/Responsibilities: Actively seek out and offer a friendly greeting throughout our garden center. Ask open ended questions to be able to determine their needs and find a solution that the customer finds satisfaction with.*Be enthusiastic with the customer and show compassion when appropriate to do so. Provide specialized knowledge in our seasonal products. *Complete additional duties as assigned by management. *Willing to participate in seminars, webinars, training sessions and meetings as required to expand your knowledge. *Complete all Health and Safety Training required by government and company regulations. *Work in a safe manner in accordance to all safety legislation. *Report any potential hazards and unsafe working environment to management in order to have it corrected. * We have 1 full time and 2 part time positions available.

* This is a seasonalposition that would start in April till June with potential for a longer term.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.55-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
