We are a retail Garden Centre that has been family owned for over 60 years now.

We specialized in quality nursery stock of all different styles and varieties. Our Garden Centre is well-stocked, with shrubs, evergreens, hedges, fruiting plants and veggies, roses, tropicals, large specimen trees and colourful perennials; with all the necessary amenities for installation.

Job description

Responsibilities on Site:

• Unload and display plant stock and merchandise
• Care of plant material (ex. watering, organizing, weeding, etc.)
• Assisting customers (loading cars, finding plant material, loading soils, mulches, etc.)
• Cashing customers out, through POS (point of sale)

Work Experience/Education Needed:

• Horticultural knowledge/experience
• Post Secondary Education

Skills Needed:

• Ability to work 5 days a week, possibly 6 days a week if needed.
• Ability to do physical labor (heavy lifting of plant material)
• Ability to assist customers in a friendly, helpful manner
• Ability to work with others
• Ability to learn on the job
• Good attitude and work ethic

Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 5-6 months

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
