Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Sherwood Park office is currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join the SCADA Systems team.  This position reports to the Manager, SCADA Systems in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.
The Information Services Unit has responsibility to continuously improve data, security and integrity of the network from infringement, interruption and destruction of sensitive data. We depend on the help of our talented people who are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve our processes and existing technologies. Our focus is to collaborate with our customers and colleagues to land cutting edge technologies to help improve the way we work, maximize productivity and reduce cost which in turn could possibly help contribute to the environmental solutions that can help with our climate change challenges. This position will be accountable for the maintenance, upkeep, security, monitoring, and ongoing development of the Gas SCADA system platform and hardware, as well as participate in new pipeline and system initiatives at the project level.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Provide support for the maintenance and enhancement of the SCADA system platform;
-Troubleshoot, resolve, and document problems encountered with the SCADA system platform;
-Test and install patches and hotfixes to the SCADA system platform;
-Work closely with the SCADA system vendor as required;
-Install and administrate both physical and virtual machines in a Windows environment, including domain joined and non-domain joined machines;
-Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, including servers, workstations, and operator consoles;
-Configure and maintain supporting systems, such as Veeam backup, SQL Server database, and WSUS patching;
-Ensure regulatory compliance by adhering to processes and completing necessary documentation;
-Contribute to the development of process and procedure documentation;
-Collaborate and coordinate efforts within multi-disciplinary teams; and
-Offer flexibility for after-hours support and occasional off-site work, given that our pipelines are operated and monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
 
Qualifications:
-Experience with progressively more challenging responsibilities involving the Honeywell Experion SCADA Application;
-Familiarity with Microsoft environmentst, including operating systems (Windows 10/11, Server 2016 and newer), virtual machine management (VMware), domain administration (Active Directory and Group Policy Management), database administration (SQL Server Management Studio), and patching (WSUS) is considered an asset;
-Infrastructure experience involving progressively more challenging responsibilities in a High Availability OT environment;
-Working knowledge of RTU, PLC and End Devices communication protocols;
-Preference will be given to candidates with a degree, diploma or certification in computer science, computer engineering technology, network engineering technology, or electrical engineering;
-Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license.
