General Assembly/Production Associate

About you: Successful candidates shall have prior experience working with small hand tools as well as basic computer skills. A willingness to follow instructions and ability to keep pace with production requirements are necessary. Prior assembly and industrial machine operation experience an asset. Maintaining a clean and safe work zone and striving to succeed and improve on a consistent basis are key attributes. Having a positive attitude and maintaining solid attendance with a reliable record of accomplishment are important assets as well. The goal of continuous improvement should become the pillar of your daily processes. Personal drive, the ability to multi-task and follow instructions is essential to employment at PMT.

About the position: We operate in a fast-paced customer oriented environment and require flexible team oriented individuals. Duties and responsibilities will vary with daily requirements/projects but generally include:

· Assembling finished parts into assemblies and final products

· Assisting with packaging and shipping when required

· Operating various small hand tools

· Maintaining and cleaning equipment

· Reading blueprints and following inventory control processes

· Correctly inputting/transferring inventory in our ERP software

· Communicating with various departments and supervisors

· Ability to work standing for 8 hour shifts

· Basic computer skills and competence required
