Now is your chance to join a growing company in the foothills. Read on Roads is currently hiring for the 2024 road construction season. We are currently filling all positions, asphalt foreman and labourers, Class 1 and class 3 truck drivers, Spray patching & Crack sealing labourers as well as traffic control personnel. Experience within the road construction industry is an asset when applying to these positions.

Our Season starts in April/May and finishes approximately October/November. Salaried position may be offered to candidate after working the season.

• Employee must be willing to travel and stay in hotels.
• Must be willing to work throughout the province of Alberta. Read on Roads has many contracts with counties throughout Alberta and evening/weekend may be required. Working away from home may also be required. Accommodations and subsistence will be covered by Read on Roads when overnight stays are required.

Responsibilities:

- Proven experience in Asphalt industry, paving experience a MUST!

- Work in coordination with team on construction projects from start to finish

- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards

- Monitor and enforce safety regulations on the job site

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of construction estimating and budgeting processes

- Excellent communication and strong work ethic

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• road construction: 2 years (preferred)
