Job Description:
We're seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operations of The Berczy Tavern. This role is ideal for a high-energy individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to bring this concept to life.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service, exceptional quality, and a memorable guest experience.
- Lead the opening process, from staff recruitment to operational systems implementation.
- Foster a culture of excellence in hospitality and service, setting high standards for the team.
- Maintain an active presence on the floor, leading by example and ensuring efficient restaurant operation.
- Develop and maintain connections within the Toronto dining scene to build a strong client base.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic planning, marketing, and community engagement.
- Manage costs effectively without compromising quality or guest experience.
- Collaborate with ownership, providing regular updates and feedback to ensure aligned vision and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager, with at least 5 years in management roles within high-end restaurant environments.
- Proven track record of successful Restaurant Openings highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on floor management and team motivation.
- Well-networked within the Toronto dining scene, with a keen understanding of local market trends.
- Experience in managing bars and live music venues is an asset.
- Systems-oriented, with a focus on operational efficiencies and cost management.
- Business-savvy, with a demonstrated ability to grow revenues and cultivate a loyal customer base.
- Passionate about hospitality, with a keen eye on industry trends and innovations.
- Understanding of social media and marketing strategies is a plus.
