Luff Industries is currently accepting resumes to fill several entry level General Labour Positions as part our growing operations team.

It has one of the most complete product lines available to increase the performance of its customers conveyor systems.

The Job:

This is an entry level position that will provide support and gain exposure to all the departments in the shop. In some instances, the role will be required to assist the maintenance team with various aspects relating to the overall upkeep and maintenance of the facility and grounds.

Your Daily Work will include:

- Working safely and keeping work areas clean and tidy.

- Safely packaging outbound product for shipment to customers by using a variety of hand tools.

- Check and verify that completed parts are being produced according to the established company's Quality Work Procedure.

- Pack completed parts in designated storage areas so that they are ready to ship and assisting the shipping and receiving departments as needed.

- Handling and transporting raw materials between various production departments within the factory.

- Handling and transporting completed product between departments within the factory.

- Perform visual inspections of completed parts / product to ensure that they meet the established quality standards and requirements.

- Performing basic maintenance activities around the factory.

- Any other tasks required for the success of the company.

Our ideal candidate will a bring a strong work ethic and desire to learn the various aspects of our operation and will be able to function well as part of the larger manufacturing team and a as a strong individual contributor when needed.

Applicants will also bring the following skills and experience:

· Prior experience in a manufacturing / production environment is preferred but training will be provided.

· Consistency and reliability while performing work.

· Experience working with basic hand tools and manual material handling equipment.

· Previous experience safely operating sit-down forklifts (is an asset).

· Experience in a shipping and receiving environment is an asset.

Compensation: This is an hourly position with a starting wage range of $18.00 - $ 20.00 per hour. The final starting wage will be based on the successful applicant’s combination of skills and experience. Future increases will be based on ongoing individual performance. Employees are eligible to participate in the company benefit program after 3 months of employment.
