Pro Shop Associate at Huron Oaks Golf Club for the 2024 season.
DEPARTMENT : Golf Operations
EMPLOYMENT : Minimum 40 Hours per week, April 1st to October 15th
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide standards of service delivery, ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :
- Checks members or guests in, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system, for processing purchases, credit card transactions, answering the telephone, and managing the reservation system
- Available to work early mornings, weekends, and nights. Ensuring service continuity in the Pro Shop by maintaining a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays
- Utilizes tee sheet demand management such as opening on time, pairing short groups, rebooking players, etc.
- Maintains the Pro Shop environment by keeping the shop neat and orderly: straightening, stocking merchandise, vacuuming, dusting, and general cleaning of all Pro Shop areas.
- Assists Merchandiser with display of new merchandise
- Maintains a professional and service-oriented environment in the Pro Shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time.
- Reliability, punctuality and time management skills are absolutely required.
- Be a team player.
- Have strong, proven leadership qualities and management skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Be outgoing, friendly and have a helpful personality on a daily basis.
- Be in proper golf attire at all times as a key player representing Huron Oaks Golf Club.
- Merchandise inventory control experience is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of/ability to operate computer and phone systems.
- Must know, understand, enforce and be comfortable with the Huron Oaks Policy and Procedure Manual
- Familiarization with the Emergency Procedures in case an urgent situation arises.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enhance the Golf Product through implementation and control of golf service standards and assessing procedures, policies and methods of operation to ensure our golfers’ expectations are exceeded
- Golf cart fleet management and cleaning
- Work closely with our tournament organizer to ensure that golf events and outings are carried out in a professional and efficient manner
- Accountable for the financial success of the department by monitoring productivity, revenues and costs and working collaboratively to meet financial targets
RENUMERATION: To be negotiated based on experience.
