Southside Golf Course is looking for Golf ShopTeam Members!

We are looking to fill weekdays, evenings, and weekends for the upcoming 2024 golf season.

Southside is one of Winnipeg's "best kept secrets" only an eight-minute drive south of the Mint off Hwy. 59 on Southside Road . Once you arrive, you will experience a country like atmosphere only a short distance from the city, where you can unwind and get away from it all! The unique 18-hole course design ranging from 3,300 to 4,600 yards allows players to use every club in their bag. The strategically placed bunkers, 11 lakes and challenging fairways combined with our large, undulating greens are guaranteed to provide a true test of golf to everyone, regardless of their level of ability.

Job Details:

Treat guests in a courteous, respectful and friendly manner at all times

Strive to maintain a positive and aesthetically pleasing environment

Provide fast, efficient service, anticipating guests’ needs

Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility, including the

Golf Shop and counter

Attend to customer needs as they pertain to retail and golf

Answer phone inquiries in a professional and knowledgeable manner

Act as a liaison with Restaurant, Maintenance Team, Beverage Cart, and Starters & Marshals

Facilitate club repairs and lesson bookings

Look after Driving Range

Be familiar and efficient with the cash procedures for opening and closing

Collect and properly organize data from league play

Manage Power Cart usage

Washing and staging of Power Carts

Assist management with assigned tasks

Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills and orientation

Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Must be available to work flexible hours to meet operational needs

Smart Choices certification required

Well-developed interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills

Strong computer skills

Positive, enthusiastic and out-going manner

Clean, neat, well-groomed appearance

Dependable and conscientious work habits

Attention to detail

An understanding of the game of golf

Ability to take charge in a busy environment

Ability to manage cash accurately

Good common sensibility to make decisions routinely

Valid drivers license
