Gradall Operator

Fowler is seeking an experienced Gradall Operator to operate a gradall for our Highway Maintenance and Construction divisions with the utmost regard for safety.

Key Duties:

• Discuss plan for the day's work with Manager or Supervisor, review plans if necessary, and determine the most efficient way to perform the required work safely, accurately, and on time.
• Safely operate a gradall to complete work/tasks as directed.
• Travel to various sites within our three CDMC contract areas (North Bay, Simcoe, and Huntsville) to complete work as required.
• Maintain safe equipment operation and be responsible for notifying mechanics of any equipment issues.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies when necessary.
• Conduct yourself in a professional/mature manner.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience operating a gradall.
• Ability to complete basic paperwork, i.e. time entry, sitedocs, daily work records, etc.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes, machine control displays etc.
• Ability to work and follow directions in challenging work environments.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Willingness to perform physical labour at times.
• Must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs, carry, bend, reach etc…
• Punctual and available to work.
• Available for emergency work including the willingness to travel to other locations (accommodations and travel expenses will be covered on a per-job basis).
• Must possess a valid DZ or equivalent driver’s license.

Work Conditions:

• Travel to various locations will be required (travel expenses will be covered).
• Outdoor environment in various weather conditions.
• Overtime, evening, and weekend work may be required to meet the demands of the position.
• Full-time, year-round work (winter work will be available with our CDMC Highway Maintenance division).
