We are looking for a Grader Operator to join our BC Eco team for our forestry roadbuilding operations in Boundary Country, British Columbia. POSITION BENEFITS

• Wage is $30-34 per hour, depending on experience
• Overtime pay after 8 hours
• Monday to Friday shifts with overtime work often available.
• LOA available for traveling to work sites in other Boundary Country or South Okanagan locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate grader in the construction of secondary highways and gravel roads.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.
• Travel to various job sites within the Boundary Country or South Okanagan region as required.
• Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
• General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

• Minimum 2 years' experience of operating grader, ideally in a forestry environment.
  
• Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
  
• Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record.
• Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Experience and knowledge of working in a forestry roadbuilding environment preferred.
• Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground and roads.
• Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
