Grader Operator - Winter Snow Season

Eddie’s Gravel Supply Ltd. is a residential and commercial construction company located in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba. We are currently looking for experienced construction Grader Operators for the Winter Snow Season.

Operators report to site supervisors and are responsible for supporting site activities in the delivery of multiple projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas
• Spreading materials
• Operate Graders, Skid Steers, Excavators
• Securing heavy equipment attachments to equipment
• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
• Help other equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary.
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Load or unload construction materials and moving them to work areas
• Follow instructions from supervisors.
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
• Perform site clean-up.
• Variety of manual labour tasks
• Other related duties a required.

To Be Successful, You Will Need

• Own transportation;
• Valid driver’s license (class 5)
• Operator experience required
• Knowledge of the construction industry an asset
• Some road building construction experience preferred
• Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
• Reliable
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Overtime work as required
• Able to perform repetitive tasks
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Winnipeg Beach, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (preferred)
